Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church
New Providence, New Jersey
Sunday School
Welcome to St. Andrew’s Sunday School. We welcome children and provide a place to sense the love of God, hear His Word, develop faith, participate in the worship service, learn Christian values, share our Episcopal heritage and belong to a church community. Our Sunday school provides every child the “opportunity of a lifetime” for a Christian education and spiritual development. We follow the teachings of Jesus to love God and to love others as we explore the Holy Bible with Bible based lessons.
Sunday school classes are for children from Preschool to Grade 5. Youth groups are available for older ages. Children begin their lessons in their classrooms at the start of the 10am service. After classes they are then escorted into the church service to join their families at the Peace.

Curriculum lessons are enhanced by related activities. We offer a Godly Play class which is an Episcopal educational program based on the Montessori Method of learning. Enrichment programs and events are held for all grade levels so that the children can sense being a part of a unified Sunday school.

Our Noah’s Ark Nursery is available every Sunday for the 10 a.m. service for babies through age two.

Classes

Class Grade Levels are possible thanks to the continual support of volunteer teachers during the year. Excellent curriculum is selected with leader’s guides and student books plus pages to take home and share with parents. This is important for a church and home connection for the religious education of a child.
Events

Several exciting and meaningful enrichment programs are held throughout the church school year to enhance and support the Christian education goals of St. Andrew’s for children and families. Through these events children learn to help others, to help the church, and learn about our church community.
