Making a Pledge

 

The first step is to make a pledge. What part of your financial resources will you set aside for God’s work through the church? It is a spiritual question. People reach their own conclusions in a variety of ways, but the most important aspect is to consider your financial gift relationally and in thanksgiving for all the blessings of this life.

 

Some people choose to pledge a percentage of their income. According to the Episcopal Church, “the tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of ‘tithing,’ which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26).” Your commitment to our work, however, is the most important aspect of stewardship, not the amount you are able to give. The important issue to us is that you make a pledge—a commitment—to the church and to its mission.  You can make a pledge by contacting the church office at 908.464.4875 or information@standrewschurch.org or by filling out a pledge card and placing it in the offering plate at any service. 

 

How to Pay

 

The second step is to honor your pledge. Pledges can be paid as a single gift or by installments as you wish, for example weekly or monthly. St. Andrew’s also accepts credit or debit cards.  You can make a one-time credit or debit card payment via PayPal (using the gift/donation buttons to the right) or set up installments via the church office. You can also use your own bank’s bill-pay system to set up regular payments directly. Please contact church office at 908.464.4875 or information@standrewschurch.org for more information.

 

All pledging households can receive offering envelopes that may be put in the collection that is taken at all services or sent by mail. All pledgers will receive a final statement at the end of the year.
