Operation Christmas Child

 

Samaritan’s Purse is a relief and Christian evangelism organization led by Franklin Graham.  The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

 

St. Andrew's participates in this outreach effort every fall.  We fill empty shoe boxes with small gifts and neccessities that will benefit an international child in need. Parishioners identify each box for a girl or boy and include a $7 check to cover the cost of transportation.  The boxes are collected and blessed on a Sunday in November.  Our youth pack up cars and transport them to a centralized collection site so they can begin their journey around the world sharing God's love on Christmas morning.
